Hi, I'm Hannah!
I've been teaching art since 2019. Throughout the years, I've taught middle and high school art classes in-person and virtually (both in the panic of the school closures of 2020 and with a fully virtual school after that.)
Art education is my main endevour these days (I have an MAT in Art Ed, K-12), but I also have a B.S. in Psychology that has been incredibly relevant to me as a public school teacher.
I've also developed curriculum for other teachers and schools. I'd love to help you with the same! Lesson planning is my truest love in this art ed world!
As an art teacher, my main focus is to give students choice in their artwork and encourage creative thinking. That being said, my favorite approach for high school classes is modified-choice-based learning. What does that mean? Check out this blog post! http://educatingartists.com/exploring-modified-choice-based-art-teaching/
Questions for me? Need some lessons or looking for guidance on designing your own choice-based curriculum? Not sure what approach you'd like to take for your class?
